Letter to the Editor: In Support of Jonathan West for Manchester Selectboard

I have known Jonathan and his family practically all his life. Jon grew up in this community, went to local schools, and was well respected by both his peers and teachers. Even at MEMS, where I had him as a student, he was a leader, willing to help out in any way he could. He always made positive connections with people. He is thoughtful, willing to listen calmly, and think outside of the box.

When I think of Jonathan, these are some of the words that come to mind: Family and Community Oriented, Responsible, Committed, Respectful, Dedicated, Involved, Kind, and Thoughtful.

Jonathan understands the “Heart” of our community and is willing to tirelessly work for positive changes that can only enhance Manchester. He will work to keep housing affordable for all who live and work in this community. He will help provide more transparency by using his technology experience and expertise to ensure that communication is regular, concise and understandable. As a Vermonter, he understands the uniqueness of our state and the diverseness of our community. As a parent, he understands the importance of communication with the schools, the town and the community.

I think Jonathan will help address the challenges that our town faces and will also help build a future that reflects the values we strive for as a community.
